Spinach and Bacon Quiche with Oyster Sauce

Kid's Favorite

Plain flour 90 g [sieved]
Butter 50 g [chilled and diced]
Egg (s) 1/2 pc [yolk]
Ice Water 1/2 tbsp


Premium Brand Oyster Sauce 2 tsp
Shredded spinach leaves 50 g
Chopped onion 25 g
Diced bacon 25 g
Beaten eggs 2 pcs
Whipping cream 100 ml
Ground nutmeg a little
Salt 1/8 tsp

  1. To make the pastry: Knead butter into the flour. Add egg yolk and iced water to form a dough. Chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough and line a 15-cm quiche case. Cover with a greased foil tightly. Chill for further 30 minutes.
  3. Bake pastry in preheated oven 180C/ 350F for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 8 minutes or until golden.
  4. Stir-fry bacon and onion in 2 tsp oil until golden. Stir in spinach and Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce. Cool and mix with beaten egg, cream, nutmeg and salt.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the pastry and bake for 20 - 30 minutes until golden and set.
