Braised Beef with Spicy Oyster Sauce

Beef brisket 1.2 kg [or beef shin, cut into pieces]
Carrot (s) 1 pc [roll cut into pieces]
Water 500 ml
Garlic 3-4 cloves
Chili 1 pc [Red, sliced]
Ginger (s) 5-6 slices
Cinnamon 1 stick [small]
Star anise 1 pc

Premium Brand Oyster Sauce 2/3 cup

  1. Saute garlic, red chili, ginger, cinnamon and star anise in 2 tbsp oil until fragrant. Add beef brisket and stir-fry until the surface is brown. Add seasoning mix and stir well. Stir in carrot, water and bring to the boil. Cover and braise until tender.
